AlUla county is located in the Wadi Al-Qura in the North West of Saudi Arabia. The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) was formally established by Royal Decree in July 2017 to reinvigorate this region of extraordinary natural, historical and cultural significance, as an important cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

Warren Design were part of the DesignPM International team offering project management and planning across a variety of projects including a conceptual option study for the future development of Old Town AlUla, a survey of the existing Hijaz Railway assets within the county and planning for the reopening of the heritage sites at Hegra, Dadan and Jabal Ikmah. Working closely with the RCU strategy, interpretation and conservation teams, RFPs were written, consultants appointed and the first stages of this extraordinary project delivered for the Winter at Tantora Festival in December 2019.
